Web browser - Google Chrome

Use of Google Chrome web browser is encouraged and is the default web browser on your computers.


Google Chrome is part of GDST G Suite for Education edition

Turn sync on (strongly recommended)

To save your info to your work G Suite account, sign in to Chrome and turn on sync.

What happens when you sync

  • You can see and update your synced info on all your devices, like bookmarks, history, passwords, and other settings.

  • You'll sign in automatically to Google Drive, G Suite Apps, Search, and other Google services.

  • If you change devices (like if you lost your phone or got a new laptop), you'll get all your info back.

  • You’ll personalize your experience in other Google products by including your Chrome history with your Web & App Activity.

Note: Only turn on Chrome sync with devices you trust. If you're using a public computer, use guest modeinstead.

Sign in and turn on sync

To turn on sync, you'll need to use your work email address.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.

  2. At the top right, click Profile .

  3. Click Sign in.

  4. Sign in with your work email address.

  5. To turn sync on, click Yes, I'm in.

If you’re already signed in to your work G suite account, turn on sync:

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.

  2. At the top right, click Profile .

  3. Click Sync as [name].

    • If you have another account, click Down arrow Use another account.

  4. Click Yes, I'm in.

If you want to sync more than one account or you share your computer with others, learn how to add a profile in Chrome.

Note: Some older websites may still need to accessed from Internet Explorer.
